About Me: I'm all about music. I've been the Lead Singer for Rhythm Riot, a band I helped form just over 3 years ago. I also sing in a duo called The Electric Cheese with my partner in crime, Bill Hodgson who also plays bass in the band. I play guitar, tambourine and bang a mean cowbell! I just got married to a man who made me believe there was a soulmate out there for me. This is absolutely the last time I ever get married, because I finally met my match!
My kids are grown and on their own, and so am I, finally. My son is a machinist/welder and lives in the town I grew up in Florida. My daughter works for the State of Florida EPD and is married to the best son-in-law ever! My granddaughter was born July 14th and I couldn't be happier or more proud. I'm a very outgoing person, but I think that comes from performing in front of audiences practically my entire life. When I'm not performing (I'm a NUT when I'm on), I'm very laid-back. My friends know the real me, I'm definitely NOT the personality you may see when I'm playing a gig. That's about all I can think of off the top of my head.
Music: Pretty much everything from Mozart to Metallica, though I have a special place in my heart for Jazz.
Movies: Scary stuff, movies where the underdog comes out on top and animated features.
TV: Don't have much time for it, but when I do, Family Guy, South Park, Futurama. I enjoy learning from TV, so it's the Science Channel, the History Channel, PBS and the Discovery Networks, just to name a few.
Books: Dean Koontz, Mary Higgins Clark, Patricia Cornwell, John Saul, some Stephen King, Mary Kay Andrews, Anne Rice, Pierce Anthony, Lillian Jackson Braun for a few fiction writers. I like non-fiction too.
Likes: People unafraid to be themselves, the smell of fresh-cut grass, applause, my real friends.
Dislikes: Know-it-alls, anyone who is predjudiced, rude obnoxious ill-mannered people. Hair in my face, over-filled ashtrays and SPIDERS!!!
Hobbies: Playing and listening to music, reading, being outside and far away from people, crafts, fishing and critters.
Vices: Being too hard on myself, I know I'm not perfect. Trusting people, I've been screwed over a time or two.
Virtues: I've been told I have a great personality and sense of humor.
Heroes: My Daddy, anyone who has served or does serve in the Military. Teachers, law enforcement officers, fire/rescue personnel, scientists, medical professionals.
